UPPERROOM TRIP
Hello to all attendees of the 2025 Tribe trip to Upper Room’s End of Year Conference in Downtown Dallas, TX!
We are a group of 80 hungry people, families, and young adults who are ready to experience God in a new and fresh way. The weather will be a nice break for us northerners, as it will most likely be in the 50s or 60s while we are there.
If you signed others up under your email address, please be sure to pass this information on to them.
Travel Plan:
This year, we are breaking up the drive to the conference into two days.
We will stay the first night in Oklahoma City at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites (12013 Holland Street). Your roommates in Oklahoma City will be the same group you will be staying with in Dallas.
We will finish the drive the next morning and arrive in Dallas with some free time on Monday afternoon before the conference begins at 7 pm.

The convention center is an 11-minute, 6-block walk from the hotel. We will not be driving vans to and from the event this year. Vans will be parked off-site for all four days.
Important: No backpacks or luggage are allowed in the arena. Diaper bags and small purses only. Time to break out that fanny pack!
When:
This trip runs from December 28 to January 1. See Trip Itinerary Document here.
Conference hours:
Monday: 7:00–9:30 pm
Tuesday: 9:00 am–9:30 pm
Wednesday: 9:00 am–Thursday at 1:00 am
We will meet at Tribe on Sunday, December 28, immediately after church. We will load the vans and plan to be on the road by 12:00 pm sharp. Tribe will provide lunch before we leave.
We anticipate returning around 9:00 pm on Thursday, January 1, though we will have a more accurate arrival time once we are on the road.
What to Bring:
An expectant heart, open to hearing from God
Your Bible and a notebook or journal. God will say things you will want to remember, and a lot will happen
Snacks for the van and late nights in your rooms
You will need a minimum of $100 to $125 for food. You are responsible for four lunches and three dinners during the trip. Hot breakfasts are provided each morning at the hotels at no charge. Tribe will also be providing two dinners (Tuesday and Wednesday) where we will eat together.
Please limit how much luggage you bring. There is limited space in the vans. The weather will be great, so pack accordingly.
Rooms:
Each room has two queen beds and a pull-out sofa. We will be sleeping six people per room for the most part. Room assignments will be sent out soon.
Behavior and Noise Expectations
You are all adults, but we are asking everyone to remain in their own rooms after midnight. Please be respectful of your roommates and others staying at the hotel. We are all representing Tribe Church during this trip.
Last year we had some elevator issues. We will not be repeating that this year, right guys?
Any immoral or illegal behavior will be dealt with accordingly.
Vans:
We will not be doing assigned van seating. Our drivers are Mike, Paul, Walt, Cory, and Jeremy. We will also have several cars traveling with us. Mike will coordinate with all drivers regarding routes and stops.
Families may choose their seats first, followed by girls, and then the boys will fill in remaining seats.
The vans seat 60 people, and we are bringing 60 in vans, so every seat will be full. Please remember deodorant.
Communication:

Because we are within walking distance of the convention center, we will have more flexibility this year and will not need to load into vans together each time. That said, there is huge value in community, and we want to move and experience this trip as a Tribe whenever possible.
We will announce meeting times in the hotel lobby each morning to walk to the conference together. We will also plan debrief times in the evenings and prayer times in the mornings. All communication will happen through GroupMe.
Safety is very important. No one should walk anywhere in downtown Dallas alone. This is not the suburbs of Omaha. Dallas is a large city. We will always use a buddy system with a minimum of three people together at all times.
Please also make sure someone knows where you are going, even if you are traveling with a group.
