    • Hard soil from neglect, routine, or “foot traffic”

    • Weeds: unforgiveness, cynicism, apathy, worldliness

    • Social media as thorns choking spiritual growth

  • Plowing process required

    • Holy Spirit partnership in heart cultivation

    • Multiple passes needed, not one-time prayer

    • Creating depth for God’s word to take root

  • Seeking prophetic word for the year

    • Holy Spirit has specific word for each person

    • Family practice of giving prophetic words at year-end

  • Heart posture adjustments

    1. Clear debris, neglect, and weeds

    2. Give Holy Spirit permission to plow

    3. Move from self-focus to God’s faithfulness

    4. Embrace uncomfortable worship and praise
