Church Administrator

Position Overview:

Part-time 15-25 hours per week.

We’re seeking a trustworthy and detail-oriented Finance & Administrative Specialist to manage both the financial and daily operations of the church. This role includes recording donations, managing QuickBooks entries, preparing financial reports, managing payroll, paying invoices, and supporting leadership with budget proposals and oversight. The role also involves monitoring bank balances to ensure accurate cash flow management, overseeing recurring bills, and managing church credit cards — including assigning cardholders, tracking usage, and reconciling monthly statements. Beyond finances, the position also supports church administration by handling mail, maintaining the master calendar, managing communications, assisting with event planning, supporting ministry team leads, and ensuring smooth coordination across all ministries.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong communication (written and verbal)

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace and comfortable with databases

  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines

  • Strong bookkeeping/accounting skills

  • Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and accuracy in financial matters

  • Experience monitoring bank accounts and reconciling balances

  • Ability to manage and track credit card users, charges, and receipts

  • Prior experience with nonprofit or church finances is a plus

  • Experience with event planning and volunteer coordination is a plus
